Benefits of using organic products for cleaning

They are many beneficial aspects to using these types of products, one being that you don't get that smell of chemicals in your home, some smells are too strong and can cause irritation and can also cause headaches. Also, using chemical-based products can cause repercussions on your health like respiratory problems,  development of allergies. When using natural and organic products you make a better and healthier lifestyle and environment. They leave a refreshing smell and don't cause any health issues.

Another benefit of using organic products like vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda and others, is that they are very cheap while still being an efficient way of cleaning if you're trying to save some money. And you can also mix essential oils with other natural products to achieve a better smell.


Cleaning recipes 


Scouring Powder: 2 parts baking soda, 1 part salt (sea salt optional), and 1 part borax.            For soap scum on tubs and showers

Glass Cleaner:  1 part vinegar 2 parts water.                          For a better and more versatile version fill a jar with citrus peels and pour vinegar over them. Leave for 2 to 4 days (up to 10 days optional) and strain out the vinegar to use as a natural cleaner. It works as a window cleaner, mopping floors, and disinfecting surfaces.

Natural Air Freshener: 1) 1 Lemon or lime cut into slices and 1 chopped ginger root. 2) 2 Apples cut into slices and 1 cinnamon stick.                                                                              Simmer a quart of water with the natural ingredients to freshen and clean the air.


Cleaning tips using natural products 


1) For removing yellow stains on white t-shirts leave soaking in a bucket for 30 minutes up to 1 hour with 1 part vinegar and 2 parts of warm water. While waiting for the t-shirt, mix together until forming a paste ½ of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. After the t-shirt has finished soaking apply the mixture on the stains and let it rest for 20 to 30 minutes. Before putting it in the washer check if the stain is gone if the stain has not yet been removed repeat process until the stain has been removed.

2) To remove a carpet stain cover with baking soda the entirety of the stain, in a separate container mix equal parts water and vinegar and pour over the baking soda and let it sit for approximately 3 hours. Using a brush gently work the mixture into the stain and let it dry. Once the mixture has dried it will leave a white residue, using a vacuum can help to remove it, if after vacuuming the residue remains use a damp cloth.

3) Cleaning the inside and exterior of an oven is simple using baking soda and water, mix these two and create a past, cover the areas that need more work with the past and leave overnight, using a soft sponge to remove the areas with the more built-up and wiping down the inside, will leave you with a cleaner oven, without any use of chemicals.
